September 30th 2006 - Sic'em Racing had Tom In the drivers seat of the family owned 75t 360 at Ventura Raceway tonight, and Tom had an awesome run. Tom came in 2nd in his heat race, and made the transfer to the Main Event. In the main event, Tom was up to 5th when he spun out, early in the race, and had to go to the back of the pack in 20th place. Then Tom regrouped, and raced a smart fast race, and was able to get back into the top 5 for a 5th place Finish. Tom had a really successful night and it is great to see him back at the track racing and being a contender again.
September 9th 2006 - Sic'em racing Team was in action at Ventura Raceway with the USAC/CRA sprint cars. Behind the wheel for tonight was Steve Conrad who is a Ventura Regular with the VRA 360 sprint cars. Steve had a great night as he qualified with a time of 12.791 for the 16th quick time of the night. That also give Steve a great starting spot for his heat race, which was crucial and Steve was able to take the Bach Construction Maxim to a 3rd place finish, transferring him directly into the main event. Ray went to work on the chassis and took his built for speed machine, handed it over to Steve where steve was able to get himself a great race and finish in the 7th position. Steve has been doing an awesome job for Ray, and we can not wait to see him in the car again. 5-20-2006 - With the team owner in Indiana, Tom and Nellie loaded up the # 75 Mopar powered Maxim and headed to the 108 degree temperatures of Manzanita Speedway in Phoenix, Arizona. Tom had a nice Qualifying run of 20.260 which was 20th quick of the night. This gave Tom a good starting position in his heat race, and he was able to finish in 3rd, and make it into the Main Event, where he started in the 16th position, and raced a clean race to finish in the 11th position. 5-13-2006 - Tom was back in action at Perris Auto Speedway, and he had a pretty good night. He Qualified 16th out of 32 cars. He then ran 4th in his heat race, putting him in the main event for the night. Tom had a great run going as he was as far as the 8th position till his set up went away, and he slid back to 13th. 4-29-2006 - After being rained out for a week, Tom and Ray took the family Maxim powered by Ron Bach's, 410 Mopar to Perris Auto Speedway. We qualified 18th with a time of 17.905. This was fast enough to get tom into the heat race where Tom Finished in the 2nd position putting Tom right into the Main Event. Tom Started in the 15th position, and he was going through he field, and then hit the wall late in the race, and finished in the 17th spot. All in all it was a great night. 4-15-2006 - Race Cancelled due to rain. 4-8-2006 - Tom and the # 75 Sic'em Racing Sierra Service R & R Performance Mopar Powered 410 was in action at USA Raceway Park in Tucson Az. Tom had a pretty good qualifying run with a time of 16.914 giving him 16th in qualifying. This gave Tom a good position to start in his heat race. The car was running pretty good, and as the laps wound down in the Heat Tom jumped the cushion and he tagged the wall, setting off a violent looking crash. Tom was OK as the Hans device and the rest of his safety equipment did the job to protect him as advertised but this ended the teams night, as there was not enough time between the heat and the semi main to get the car repaired. 04-01-2006 Tom and the # 75 Sic'em racing Sierra Service R & R Performance Mopar Powered 410 was in action at Perris Auto Speedway for the 2nd weekend in a row, and had a pretty good night. Tom qualified in at 19th quick with a time of 17.519. This put tom in a good starting spot in the heat race. With one of the cars in front of Tom, not going on the start, it stacked up the cars in front of Tom, and he rapidly went back to 6th place. Tom seemed to be loosing ground but then after a few laps, Tom surged forward and was able to grab the 4th transfer spot to go straight to the main event with a 16th place starting spot. Tom was able to gain one spot in the main event and finish in the 15th place starting spot. Tom did just that as Tom and Ray took the #75 Maxim powered by Ron Bach's 410 Mopar motor, and headed to Perris Auto Speedway. Tonight was a positive step in the right direction for the team, as Tom qualified like he knows he can. Tom shot off the 10th quick time of the night out of a total of 38 cars on hand. Tom then had a little trouble of the start of his heat race, and came in with a 6th place finish. Tom then started in the Semi Main with a starting and was able to come in 3rd place, and advance for the first time this year to the main event, starting in the 11th position. In the Main event, Ray set the car up to go fast, and it did until about mid way through, when the track started taking on rubber. This caused the car to be way too tight, and Tom went back a few positions to finish 15th. The Main event had one yellow flag on the first lap, but the rest of the race went flag to flag, with Damion Gardner winning from the 8th starting spot. The next scheduled race for Sic'em Racing is on April 1st, back at the PAS. With the fuel lead fixed, Tom started deep in the Semi Main. He was up to as far as 6th place, when he bobbled and went back to 9th which is where he finish. Although the results do not show, the team had a good night, and look forward to the next race at Perris Auto Speedway.
